Holy Baptism is the foundation of the entire Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door that gives access to the other sacraments. By Baptism we are freed from sin and regenerated as children of God; we become members of Christ and are incorporated into the Church and made participants in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of the new birth by water and in the word." ~Catechism of the Catholic Church

Due to the importance of this Sacrament, preparation on the part of the family and/or the person to be baptized is essential. This training addresses nurturing and nurturing faith in Christ, as well as deeper understanding of the teachings of the Church.
