Convocation of Catholic Leaders End; now we share the Joy of the GospelThe recently completed convocation was a "grand slam." Our parish delegates will share their reflections at Mass these next two weeks. I will write about our first major initiative to help us become a stronger faith community. Sexual Abuse Crisis: New Jersey DiocesesOn February 13, the bishops of New Jersey released in unison the names of credible accusations brought about by priests in their respective dioceses. Bishop Sullivan recorded a video to be viewed at each of the Masses this coming weekend. He also wrote an explanatory statement regarding the release of names which you may read by clicking on this link. He also included a document of FAQs on this issue which you may access here. The front page of the diocesan website contains many valuable resources on this issue on the icon "promise to protect, pledge to heal." Here is the link to them. Finally, I am tentatively scheduling an evening for parishioners to come together on Wednesday, March 13 at 7 PM, for prayer and a listening session which will be facilitated by others than myself.
Upcoming Schedule: May

Once a month, usually on Wednesdays, speakers from different vocations and expertise will share with us a topic that will help our faith, spirituality and knowledge. Lectures begin at 7 PM in Cathedral Hall and are followed by a Q & A. There is no admission, just an enthusiastic thirst to learn and to share. This initiative attempts to satisfy the growing request for ongoing adult faith formation. Click here for a poster of this year's presenters and topics! Please plan on attending
